Implied Volatility Mover

LeapFrog Enterprises (LF) is down 55 cents to $8.60 and has dropped over 26.2 percent over eight-days. The stock slipped Friday on reports the company was cutting the price on its flagship LeapPad1 learning tablet. Players are leaping for options on the stock Monday. 5,800 puts and 1,840 calls traded on LF so far. December 7.5 puts are the most actives and implied volatility in LF options jumped 16.5 percent to 86.

Volume Signals

Hess (HES) options volume is running 5X the (22-day) average, with 41,000 contracts traded and call volume accounting for 85 percent of the volume.

Phillips 66 (PSX) options volume is 3X, the average daily, with 22,000 contracts traded and call volume representing for 52 percent of the activity.

EOG options volume is running 3X the average daily, with 19,000 contracts traded and call volume accounting for 92 percent of the activity.

Increasing options activity is also being seen in TIVO, Time Warner (TWX), and Yum Brands (YUM).
