Exchange-listed options trading volume hit 320,943,312 contracts in February, an 8 percent decline from the previous year. Average daily options trading volume for the month was?16,891,753?contracts, 3 percent lower than February 2012.?

?Year-to-date options trading volume is down 0.42 percent from 2012 with 682,014,933 contracts.

Futures

OCC cleared?4,294,039 futures contracts in February, a 92 percent increase from the previous year. Equity futures volume jumped 219 percent from February 2012 with 755,732 contracts. Index and other futures volume was 3,538,307 contracts, a 77 percent increase from the previous February.?

OCC?s year-to-date cleared futures volume increased 103 percent with?8,250,296 contracts in 2013.

Securities Lending

OCC’s securities lending CCP rose 31 percent in new loans versus February 2012 with 90,316 transactions in February 2013. Year-to-date stock loan activity is up 44 percent from 2012 with 190,890 new loan transactions in 2013. OCC’s average daily loan value in February was $51,695,200,066.
