On Friday morning, the?Nasdaq OMX’s?Nasdaq options market underwent a short trading halt in the morning for symbols A through M.

According to CNBC, Nadsaq OMX had experienced an OPRA pricing data issue at approximately 11:42 p.m. ET. The?Nasdaq Options Market (NOM) was the only one of three markets affected, impacting trading for the aforementioned symbols. ?

Nasdaq OMX externally addressed the issue with a website update stating the problem had ended; NOM opened up again at noon ET.?

The exchange said on its site, “The reliability of our market systems is essential to our ability to provide a fair and efficient trading environment for our clients and other market participants. We have committed our full resources to identify the root cause of this U.S. options data issue was a NOM hardware fail-over related to inbound OPRA quote data from other U.S. options exchanges in symbols A through M. All systems are operating normally.”
