The?Nasdaq?Composite?rose to 4,176.59, up 22.39 points (up 0.5 percent). It had its best close since 2009 and for the year, it rose 38.2 percent.?

Preliminary options volume came in at?14.4 million on Tuesday, up 4 percent from its recent average. Calls came in at 9.13 million to 5.31 million puts.?
