  • CBOE?s ADV during the month was 4.8 million contracts, up five percent from December and down nine percent from January 2014.? Exchange-wide trading volume totaled 95.5 million contracts, down five percent from the previous month and down 14 percent from a year ago.
  • During the month, ADV in exchange traded product (ETP) options increased 14 percent from a year ago, while ADV in index options and equity options decreased 12 percent and 19 percent, respectively, from January 2014.? ??????

  • CBOE?s market share of total U.S. options industry volume in January was 27.0 percent, a decrease of 1.3 percentage points from January 2014.? ETP options market share posted a gain over the previous year, while equity options and index options experienced declines.
