Did anyone catch the volatility markup at the end of the day yesterday? We had fairly solid pre-opening activity this morning, but news of the budget standoff sent the market into a small tailspin.

Shares of National Bank of Greece, SA (NBG) were trading up .19 today to $1.90. NBG has a year-to-date low of $1.12.
Shares of Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) were trading down today .26 to $27.31. MSFT is trading just $2 off of lows of the year.
Earlier today, shares of Achillion Pharmaceutical (ACHN) are trading down.14 to $8.50. ACHN has recently traded as low as $7 in the last three months.
Shares of Newcastle Investment Group. (NCT) are trading up .18 today to $8.55. NCT is making a new high for the year today.
Shares of Fifth Third Bank Corp. (FITB) are trading up .33 today to $14.99. FITB is trading near its highest level in three months.
Yesterday, shares of Statoil ASA (STO) were trading up .10 to $24.68. STO traded as high as $24.71 today and is still looking to get back to three-month highs of over $27.
Yesterday, shares of the Incyte Corp. (INCY) were trading up .02 to $16.06. INCY was trading near the lows of the year which bottomed at 15.43.
Shares of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) were trading down 0.10 today to $16.86. TSM traded as high as $16.99 today and is trading close to the 52 week high.
Shares of the Financial Sector SPDR (XLF) were trading up .27 today to $16.27. XLF traded as high as $16.29 today and is trading near a three-month high of 16.49.
As I watched the market on Friday, most of the volatility was coming from AAPL. Traders still cannot get past the fact that AAPL has changed into a slightly different stock lately.
