Mark Longo - Options Insider CEO

Mark S. Longo

Mark S. Longo is the Founder & CEO of the Options Insider Media Group, a firm dedicated to providing free options information, education, news and analysis for options users. Mark created the first options podcast in January 2007, many years before most people even knew what a podcast was. That single program has since grown into the Options Insider Radio Network – the world’s leading podcast network for options traders. Known as “the voice of options” for his pioneering work in digital media, Mark now hosts a variety of long-running programs including Options Boot Camp, Volatility Views, The Option Block, The Crypto Rundown, The Futures Rundown, among others. He has partnered with some of the most widely-recognized names in the financial world, including the CME Group, Cboe Global Markets, Nasdaq, the Options Industry Council, and more, to bring timely, educational, and entertaining podcasts to investors of all levels of ability.

Mark’s analysis of the options market has appeared in a wide variety of domestic and international publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Reuters, Futures Magazine, Institutional Investor, Crain’s Chicago Business, MarketWatch, The New York Post, and more. Mark has also spoken at such industry events as the Options Industry Conference, the Security Traders Association of Chicago, The Princeton Quant Trading Conference, The Option Pit Summit, and The Money Show.

As one of the few industry commentators with practical options experience, he has developed a substantial following among industry veterans and newcomers looking for insight into this complex market.

Mark was also the Founder of The Options Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping former floor options trading navigate the new technology, while also bringing together options entrepreneurs and start-ups.

Mark graduated from Cornell University with a degree in finance. He began his career as an options trader on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Currently, he lives in downtown Chicago with his wife and son.
