President and Chief Executive Officer of the International Securities Exchange, Gary Katz,? will take part in a public hearing hosted by the U.S. Department of Labor on Thursday, August 13th. This event is taking place in an effort to collect feedback on the agency’s proposed Conflict of Interest Rule.
Mr. Katz will? speak on behalf of the U.S. Securities Market Coalition. This group represents the twelve U.S. options exchanges and OCC (The Options Clearing Corporation).
Mr. Katz states: “We are grateful to the U.S. Department of Labor for providing our industry with this important opportunity to discuss the treatment of listed options in the proposal and ways to ensure that individual investors can continue to use the options product in their retirement accounts.”
