On Wednesday, the Options Industry Council (OIC) announced the launch of its new mobile application for iOS devices. Now investors will be able to enjoy OIC?s options education on the go by downloading the OIC app available for iPhone? and iPad? devices. The free app offers select OIC courses, an interactive strategy section, and information on OIC?s upcoming events and seminars.
Through the new app, OIC?s educational content and Investor Services resource center will enable users to take mobile courses, study strategies and instantly connect to the Investor Services live help center all within the app.
Two courses are currently offered, The Language of Options and Options Basics, which are divided into several different lessons. Mobile users can test their knowledge by taking a end-of-lesson quiz and then share their scores via social media.
In addition, there?s a convenient in-app registration and social media sharing for OIC?s upcoming seminars and events, which users can view on the homepage and main menu section.
The app’s launch represent OIC?s first venture into mobile applications and a new platform for investors to access OIC?s educational content and build their options knowledge. OIC said in its press release that it plans to expand its mobile course offerings and educational content in the app’s later versions.
This is OIC’s second new offering for 2014. Just last week, it introduced its Options Education Program initiative.?
