On Monday, the?International Securities Exchange (ISE) announced the election of three additional members to its Board of Directors along with the re-election of six members.?
At ISE, its Board of Directors are comprised of industry and non-industry directors. For the industry directors, each ISE exchange membership type is represented by two directors on the Board serving two-year terms.
New members elected include the following:
- Patrick Hickey of Optiver US will represent ISE’s Competitive Market Makers (CMMs).?Hickey is the Head of Market Structure for Optiver US. He acts as the primary liaison between the firm and all industry contacts, representing it to exchanges, vendors, and industry groups.
- Elizabeth Martin of Goldman Sachs & Co. will represent ISE’s Electronic Access Members (EAMs). At Goldman, she is a?Managing Director and the Head of Global Equities Management.
- Slade Winchester of Citigroup, who previously represented ISE’s EAMs and CMMs on the Board, will serve as director for ISE’s Primary Market Makers (PMMs).
In addition, Denis Medvedsek of Knight Capital Group has been appointed as CMM Director due to a vacancy. As a?Managing Director, he is responsible for the electronic Options Market Making business.
Michael Monaco, Hauke Stars, Joseph Stefanelli, and Kenneth Vecchione have been re-elected to serve one-year Non-Industry Director terms. Gary Katz, ISE’s President and Chief Executive Officer, was also re-elected to serve a one-year term.
Katz said of the new members in a press release, “We are pleased to welcome Pat, Liz, and Denis as the newest members to ISE’s Board and also congratulate Slade on his re-election to the Board in his new capacity as PMM Director. We are fortunate to have such distinguished industry veterans to serve on our Board of Directors and look forward to the insight and expertise that they will bring to their positions.”
